Nope, we don't sound like Strung Out. I always wanted to, but then, when you finally get your sound, you realise it sounds nothing like your favourite band. I've had about 4 attempts at bands, and this is the one, I think. ^_^
I have a fan club at college? I bet it's only got guys in it... [img]frown.gif[/img] Pffft.
Yeah, some of our stuff is pretty heavy, in like a SOIA-type way. Stompy bits that kids can mosh to. Gawd, if I was 5 years younger, I know I would!! ^_~
I wouldn't go as far as to say that we rule, although I think we could eventually...And it IS pretty metal. Lotsa squealy, pinched harmonics, and of course, the Trademark Habgood harmonies at every turn. Barker, you have heard our tape?? You thought it was ok?
Ok, so as I understand it, we're to play this Solid show. Sounds huge. I don't have an amp atm, so is there anyone who's got a nice Marshall stack I can utilise on the day? I'll love you forever... ;p
Oh, and as for a name, I think we're officially called In Silence.
Anyway, look forward to this show, and I'll see you all there... ^_^

yeah neither do i, i dont see much point everyone going cause no one will really get a say
tis probably best if he talks to people indiviualy then has the meetin to tell everyone what has been said.
and if we can get some ideas on here to tell him would probably help.
i think we need a list of bands who are playin before we start seriuosly talkin about order and where each bands plays

Hello,
To my knowledge, the meeting is purely a press conference. The Telegraph, Radio Humberside and possibly local TV station Channel 7 are going to be there. If you want your band to be represented then you should attend.
As I said in a previous post, the line up will still be mostly dictated by ticket sales, so who plays where will be decided on the day.
If you have any queeries or concerns why don't you ring Steve Stanley. At least that'll put an end to all the speculation. I'll ring him today to find out the names of all the bands playing and I'll post them on here as soon as I have them.

The reason that the press are involved is due to size of the event. What strikes me is that its a shame that it takes something like this to get them interested in local music. Furthermore, local bands shouldn't put themselves down. Most of the bands I've come across over the past few years have got a lot going for them. Remember Radiohead were once a "crappy" student band.
